The Island explores the conflict between who we are, and ‘who we ought to be’ in a haunting story about the fragility, and the resilience, of the human spirit.
This clinical atmosphere is further brought to ‘light’ with the symmetrical fluorescent tubes. The harsh lighting adds to the atmosphere, emphasising the location, and compelling the pair into introspection — Everything Theatre
